Harvest Church of the Nazarene

Child Protection Policy

Caution Children Praying Sign

The Harvest Church of the Nazarene seeks to provide a safe and secure environment for the children and youth who participate in our programs and activities. By implementing the below practices, our goal is to protect the children and youth of the Harvest Church of the Nazarene from incidents of misconduct or inappropriate behavior while also protecting our staff and volunteers from false accusations.

God embraces children with love, placing their nurture and care in our hands. We remember that Jesus wrapped small children in the loving arms of this embrace, and we do the same. As a Christian community, we believe that children should be safe and well-cared for, and we consider it to be our pastoral responsibility to strive to provide a loving, secure environment for children in our congregation by being advocates for children and establishing clearly-defined safeguards, procedures, and policies for their pastoral care and protection.

But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. Mat 18:6 (NIV)
